Beauty Treatments for Mums

This is a review for all the mums out there. I am always putting myself last in regards to simple wants. Until now I hadn’t had a facial in over 5 years, put off waxing, purchasing clothes etc, etc. Well I recently decided things are going to change and the Applied Sciences Beauty Clinic is where I’m starting.

How do you get a load of wonderful treatments for the best price? The answer is at a student run clinic like the one I went to today. I got a heap of let’s face it well over due waxing done and a facial for all of …wait for it $45 I rebooked for an hour body massage next week for $20. Then I think I’ll get some gel nails put on for…. $23. Are you thinking WOW??? Incredible prices aren’t they. So the question is “What’s it like?”

Well I was a bit surprised at first to be led to a large room with other clients in full view having their waxing treatments done. All the bits that should be covered up are of course. It was a bit odd a first being waxed next to another lady but we soon got into a bit of polite chat and had a giggle. Then I was taken to a darker room where separate cubicles are set up for massage pedi’s and facials.
My facial went well and I actually learnt a heap because the student and lecturer were discussing what products to use any why. I found this fun but others might want just a little more of a relaxing experience. This is the reason for the cheaper price, the waxing is a bit slower than a salon one and all the treatments are likely to be interrupted in some way by other student s or lecturers.

Institute of Applied Sciences

In the end though you have had some time to yourself and had a treatment and of course helped out a student with their studies. I’m going back and I recommend it to all who find it hard to spend $60 on themselves.

If you’d like to have a look at the website it is here: Institute of Applied Sciences Beauty Clinic
The pricing on this site is a bit old though so best to phone if you need to.

Cheers
